This French band present on their third album, Persecution, a devastating mix of black and death metal with a little infusion of doom metal popping up on occasion. There's no screwing around here: The album opens up with a heavy, pounding number that sounds evil as fuck from the first note and that pretty much sets the tone for the whole album. Deep death growls are a perfect match for the sombre, eerie atmosphere that ties everything together. Persecution is the kind of album that sucks you in with its powerful, dark sound and atmosphere and once you pick yourself off the floor and press Play again because this is just enjoyable aural punishment. No gimmicks here, just pure and evil extreme metal.
