Torchia are another Finnish Melodic Death Metal band, and the more I listen to their sophomore effort The Coven, the less I really have to say about it. You could probably swap this album with something else in the genre while I wasn't looking and I'd be none the wiser, as this really is just every other Melodeath album that apes a trend everyone got sick of 15 years ago. There's nothing actively wrong with this, and some of the melodies are pretty nice, but it doesn't do anything you haven't heard before and it certainly doesn't do it well enough to stand out or stick with you after it's over. Competent, but unremarkable.
