This is a fun album of blackened speed/thrash that's all about doing it right and to hell with innovation. The music is fast, heavy, raw and full of attitude, complemented by deep, sharp and raucous vocals that fit it like a glove. Barbarian keep it old school and there's a lot of riffage here that will make you think of the good old days, but without sounding like they're just copying the style. The album is overall pretty damn catchy and filled with fun headbangable and air-guitaring moments. I like albums like this when I just want to rock the fuck out. |
