It's been four years since Deiphago released In the Eye of Satan and in between they released a couple of live albums, one compilation, a demo (!) and a split with Ampütator. These guys are still playing insane, fast and chaotic black/death metal that is really an acquired taste; maybe the closest comparison would be Anaal Nathrakh without the grind and industrial elements. The guys have slowed down a bit on this one, at least in a few of the songs, though this still remains more extreme-sounding than many (most?) of the extreme metal bands out there. If you liked your ears being destroyed by their previous material, I, The Devil will still do that for you. Raw, punishingly fast and chaotic as hell. Oh yeah.
