Sepolcro is an Italian death metal band that's been kicking around since 2011, with a brief period of inactivity between 2016 and 2018, and are back in the game with 2019's Amorphous Mass EP. If you enjoy the mouldy reek of early death metal with low, rumbling and utterly indecipherable vocals and thrashy guitars that don't have the sterility of more technical death metal, you'll likely enjoy Amorphous Mass, even if it is ultimately generic. The musical atmosphere is satisfyingly unsettling, especially on the spoken word "Suphurous Eruption from the Depths". Solid, but not a revelation. |
