Finnish Heavy Metal/Hard Rock stalwarts Mausoleum Gate are back with another two-song seven-inch release which shows the band delving deeper into the primordial waters of Metal that existed back before it had a proper name.

The title track throws you back in time to Priest's first two albums with heavy, straightforward riffs that would have made Glen Tipton and K.K. Downing proud. "Before the Snake Sneaked In", on the other hand (or side, if you prefer), is a more laid-back Black Sabbath/Uriah Heep/Deep Purple-esque jam with improvised '70s prog-rock moments that the band has always done well. Top it all off with Ozzy-esque vocals and you have a sound that's as retro as it gets.

The single shows the band staying true to their sound while also attempting to expand and experiment with it, which is a musical direction I hope they take to its fullest.
