Triple Kill is an Australian band reaching back to the '80s for musical inspiration (and logo font) on their debut album, Age of Rebellion. They play a power/thrash hybrid that features a lot of speed and muscular riffing mixed with a good dose of melody and anthemic vocal lines. Tracks like "Age of Rebellion" have an epic, almost grand quality reminiscent of late 80s Iron Maiden whereas "Decay" is more straight-for-the-throat in a Testament vein. The songwriting is solid and the performances highly energetic, making Age of Rebellion a promising debut and Triple Kill a band to watch. |
