Slovenian sci-fi themed, progressive Thrash/Death Metal masters Teleport hit us with a new three-song demo titled The Expansion. The band already made a great impression on me with their previous EP, Ascendance, released in 2016, proving their potential with some incredibly tricky and innovative song structures and top-notch musicianship.

The band's musical victory march continues on this new demo release, on which they have really sharpened their weapons for an even better and more impressive strike, letting their creative songwriting juices truly flow in a free and extraordinary virtuoso way. They have taken a musical amalgam of bands like Vektor and Voïvod as the main backbone, added some odd time signatures and unexpected tempo changes without sounding like a Vektor nor Voïvod clone act. Well, that's what it has truly done, and maybe a tad more. I can easily see this type of stuff to appeal to all kinds of extreme Metal fans who want to enjoy their stuff with a good load of progressive sounding spices and can also appreciate pure musical talent when they hear it. Also, it can be safely said that these three songs represent the band's best and most mature stuff to date. I highly recommend this amazing band.
