These Texans play black metal that destroys everything in its path, plain and simple. Nothing pretty here, folks. Lightning-fast guitars and drums are accompanied by screeches that are absolutely indecipherable and you have to wonder whether the vocalist still has his vocal chords intact after this. You really have to be in the mood for an album such as this as it really just pedal to the metal from beginning to end and they rarely ever lift the foot and when they do, it's only to floor it again seconds later. Not quite the kind of music that's memorable as it's just too damn fast but, damn, when you just need a pounding speedfest to release some frustration, And Darkness Fell sure as hell fits the bill. |
