I remember I heard this band’s debut, Barbarian Steel, some years ago, but I cannot remember anything about it. This is their follow-up of Blackened Thrash with a kick of old-school Trad Metal riffing, and I think it’s pretty fucking good. For my money you can never be too much about riffs, and this band is all about riffs. They get a decent guitar sound, even if it could use more bite. Vocals are a generally raspy tone that adds most of the "blackened" vibe, but sometimes veers more into Thrash territory. This is not as ferocious as Desaster, nor as hooky or energetic as The Crown, but if you dig bands like that, then this album will show you a good fucking time. |
