Evolucija ("evolution" in their native language) is a Serbian power metal band and Hunt is the band's third full-length. Their first for Pure Steel Recordsm it also appears to be their first with English lyrics. Clean, angelic female vocals are supported by crisp guitars and lush keyboard melodies which remind me a lot of Oratory and other non-operatic symphonic metal bands. Hunt's lead single "A Rose With No Name," one of the album's highlights, has vocal lines reminiscent of Japan's Area 51. Evolucija follow well-worn paths but the song writing is above average meaning you've heard this before, but it is being done very well so the familiarity isn't a hindrance. An excellent effort.
