Third album for Wisconsin's Burial Ritual, who play Scandinavian-styled Death Metal so orthodox it might as well come in a labeled box. There's nothing bad about this at all: it has solid riffs, decent production, and maintains a good level of energy and aggression. But it is all so by-the-numbers that it could be a disc by any number of other bands. If you want Swedish Death Metal that crunches like it's 1991, then sure, this is fine. But there is absolutely nothing about this that stands out from the morass of better bands out there.
