Aries Vehemens is a Polish Death Metal act that already has history of 14 years behind them. Despite existing for years, the fittingly named Decade of Necrosodomy is their debut album. Most Polish Death Metal bands are known for their incredible musical skills, but Aries Vehemens go for primitive aggression and sheer brutality. Imagine combining Avulsed and Six Feet Under with Celtic Frost and spice it all with a couple of rebellious spoonfuls of Impaled Nazarene's early Nuclear Metal holocaust. Jermon's throaty, undead-like grunts, combined with sort of a raven's caw of Zombie also tend to complement their music nicely. But apart from a handful of good, old-school Death Metal moments, I doubt I'll be listening to Decade of Necrosodomy often. |
