You just got to love this band. More Cold War-era heavy metal from this Eastern-European band. This is very much in the same vein as Speed Kill. Raw, primitive, garage-style sound and playing that's downright addictive. Speed meets sloooowwww passages on this album, along with a bit of Maiden-ish gallops. Throw in a bit of early 80s Exciter for the speedier parts, some Motörhead for the in-your-face rock 'n' roll metallic vibe and early Black Sabbath for the slower, almost haunting parts. The singer's raucous, gritty voice just adds more conviction to the very DIY vibe. Worth checking out for those who don't need their metal over-polished. |
