Material Submission Instructions
  • We only cover metal music. Please DO NOT contact us for rock, hard rock, nu-metal, hardcore, metalcore, grindcore - or anything -core for that matter.
  • Bands should fill in all the fields in the form below. Labels and/or PR agencies may skip what doesn't apply. If you are unsure of your particular situation, then just fill in the basics (name, e-mail address, subject, message) and we'll get back to you.
  • Make sure you enter the appropriate metal genre ("metal" alone is not enough) as well as your location. If you are shipping physical media, this might help us give you the address of a reviewer closer to you, which will help keep your cost down.)
  • Yes, we do review independent bands and/or demos.
  • Formats accepted: CD, CD-R, vinyl, tape, MP3 (see more details regarding MP3 submissions below). Sorry, my 8-track player died in a fire in 1986. ;) We do NOT review music directly off Myspace pages or any similar music-streaming web sites - it's just not practical.
  • You can keep mangled promos (online or physical media) that have voice-overs (or similar anti-piracy methods) to yourself - these things are annoying as hell, and the promo will NOT be reviewed and will end up deleted or in a landfill somewhere. We won't distribute your material illegally, so don't treat us like thieves.
  • Complete the form below (this is the information needed to ensure we have all the information to check that your band(s) fit the kind of content we cover.)
Note about submissions in MP3 format
  • MP3. Not WAV, not M4A, not WMA. MP3.
  • You must fill in the MP3 tags for your albums. Fill in at least these fields: Artist name, album name, track name, track number.
  • Ideally, provide us with a single download link rather than separate links for each song (annoying...)
  • Do NOT send songs by e-mail. Use services such as www.yousendit.com, www.sendthisfile.com or www.sendspace.com (or whatever similar service you may prefer.) These services allow you to upload a ZIP file, and at the end will give you a download link. Paste that link into the message in the form below, and we're in business!
  • If you have any kind of promo sheet/biography etc..., just include it in the ZIP file.
