I know this is going to be hard to believe but this band WASP has been making records for the better part of 20 years now. Man, do I feel fucking old now. I remember when I first heard of this band. It was in the uproar concerning the PMRC (Parent Music Resource Center) and I remember them just going on and on about how this evil rock band WASP and how it was corrupting the youth of America. Well like any youth of that era I just had to run out and buy this album since if it was pissing adults off enough to cause senate hearings then it must be pretty damn good…heh.

For those of you who have lost track of this band it is a real shame since they have put out some really excellent albums with some of my favorites being "Crimson Idol", "Headless Children" and "Helldorado". This is a band that I think never did get the respect they really deserved and with all the stage antics of drinking "blood" and throwing raw meat into the audience it is easy to see why the music was relatively overlooked. Don't be fooled however this band can play some serious metal and unlike other bands from the same era they have not altered their sound to appeal to a larger audience. This is still balls to the wall metal played with plenty of piss and venom. This album I think is even a little more aggressive than others with more upbeat tempos and some pissed off vocals that have the lyrics to match.

Overall I would say this album would appeal to anyone that enjoys the classic style of metal and even some power metal fans as well. I really enjoyed this album quite a bit and I really have to give Mr. Lawless some credit here. He has stayed true to his music and not jumped the trend bandwagon to sell a few more albums. He has been playing true metal music for 20 years now and if this album is any indication of things to come he may be at the start of 20 more.
