This is actually pretty good. God Disease are a Finnish band who are very into the NWSDM sound and do it well. This is a compilation of a couple of their demos, but the sound is still decent, with a nice underground feel of dirt and nastiness. This band is obviously very into Entombed, even including a cover of "Supposed to Rot" off Left Hand Path, so we know their hearts are in the right place. In general, when this band slows down they sound more individual, as on the riff-crawling "Necromancer", and their leads are sharp and melodic. Overall this is a band I would like to get more from, as they are different enough to stand out, but reverent enough to sound classic. |
