Named after a Voivod song, Korgull the Exterminator play a hooky, slashing style of blackened Thrash Metal, with plenty of cool riffs backed up by an evil attitude and the rasping shrieks of frontwoman Lilith Necrobitch. Their last one was the pugilistic Metal Fist Destroyer from three years back, and this one is again not a departure from the sound they have carved out. Fans of Desaster or Nocturnal will probably find a lot to like here. That said, Korgull don't really break out anything first-rate. This is an enjoyable barrage of blackened nastiness, but once it is over you won't really remember it. |
