End of the Night is the third full-length from Germany's Gloryful, a band that is trying to make a name in the crunchy Power Metal genre. End of the Night has all the elements you have come to expect from the tag "crunchy German Power Metal"; a few speedy numbers with double-kick drums, several mid-paced anthems with sing-along choruses and a ballad or two. The playing is decent and the sound is expansive but ultimately End of the Night is "play-by-numbers" and basically rehashes all the things bands like Hammerfall, Iron Fire and Stormwarrior have already done (multiple times each). I don't hate the album but I can't think of a single song that sticks in my head so, unless you live and breathe this stuff and can't get enough, you've likely got something in your collection already that covers this ground.
