All Rise is a new Finnish Heavy Metal band that plays a Heavy/Power style that is similar to Black Majesty in its smooth melodies and catchy choruses. Hammered is the band's debut EP and, with a name like that and the Repka-esque artwork, you might expect this to be a Thrash release and that style does creep in especially on the closer "Another Perfect Dream." For the most part, though, All Rise delivers four well-written melodic Heavy Metal tracks at a level of skill that seems well beyond the newness of the band. As of this writing, All Rise isn't even on Metal-Archives. Regardless, if you like Black Majesty, Iron Maiden or any of the myriad of melodic Heavy Metal bands out there, All Rise is definitely worth checking out. |
