The Greek did it again... I mean, giving us another promising act on the ever-growing line of talented and gifted Metal bands. Saboter, formed in 2014, comes from Athens and plays a mixture of heavy Thrash and violent Heavy Metal. Their debut five-song EP offers meaty, masculine and dangerous sounding Metal in a very fine way where the riffs really hit home. Vocalist Chris Tsakiropoulos also sounds damn good, having lots of dramatic emotion in his voice, managing to color Saboter's straightforward Heavy/Thrash Metal by using his diverse vocal range. Overall, Saboter has a good recipe incorporated into their hard-boiled sound, giving no reason to change much at all really. Saboter will release their debut album, titled Mankind Is Damned, on Witches Brew in early 2016, so I'll be keeping my ears out for that release. |
