A new sensation crawling out from the Finnish underground Death Metal scene is this quintet known as Violent Hammer. The band was formed in 2005 and split up in 2008. After a few years two of the original members decided to regroup and brought in three new members with the intention of coming back more violent and more primitive than ever.

Violent Hammer's latest demo, More Victims, was officially released on cassette at the beginning of January 2014 by Shadow Kingdom Records and the first edition sold out right away. What's so special about them? Well, they may not be better than many other Death Metal bands out there but their 80's-tinged, murky and raw Death Metal has a strong Hellhammer, Necrovore and Deathstrike vibe really sets them apart.

What is truly fascinating about Violent Hammer's primitive music lies in their dark underground Death Metal sound. When growler Joonas' inhuman grunts, having been filtered through some echoing effects, come along like sonic outbursts of evil all of a sudden they start ripping more human flesh and sound seriously dangerous.

Violent Hammer have a merciless and shamelessly brutal sound on the More Victims demo and after hearing it, you definitely won't dare to turn your back on them.
