...While There's Life is an album of straightforward Melodic Death Metal from Japan's Faintest Hope. Musically, we are talking Thrash-based riffing with plenty of easy-to-digest melodies perfect for those not into brutal or technical Death. There's nothing terribly original or memorable here, but it is a good listen. Front-woman Miho Morisaki has a deep, aggressive growl and the guitars are plenty crunchy with a noteworthy solo here and there. Generic, but satisfying. |
