Saivon Lapsi is the seventh album for Finland's Melodic Death Metal band Eternal Tears of Sorrow. It is full of fairly standard harsh vocals, thrashy riffing and melodic keyboards. You've heard this before though that in no way diminishes the quality of the sound or the performance, both of which are high. There are no bad songs but I can't really remember much about any when they are over, either. There's no requirement that a band create something new every time out and in that respect, Saivon Lapsi is going to satisfy the sweet tooth of any Melodic Death Metal fan, but it may not result in many converts to the cause.
