This band is heavily into Blind Guardian's sound from before the days when they got into the choirs and orchestrations - in other words, back when they weren't very interesting. I know a lot of people love the BG of old, but I'm not really one of those people. Judicator is trying really hard to sound like Imaginations from the Other Side or some shit, and while I suppose they're doing an ok job of it, it doesn't excite me. Vocalist John Yelland sounds a lot like Hansi in the old days, except he can't stay on key and renders a lot of this album painful. Not horrible, but not good either. |
