I think this is the shortest demo I ever got! And on one of those mini-CDs, about the size of a credit card. Cooool. Memoir play a kind a death/grind hybrid, very fast-paced and quite chaotic if I might add. I found curious that the first song starts with a few seconds of what sounds like the sound that comes out of a speaker when nothing is playing but the volume is turned all the way up. Considering the song is so short, this kind of goes to waste, but I guess that's the effect they wanted. The vocals sound like a mix of death growls with a slight hardcore touch, with some agonizing screams thrown in a couple of places. There's quite a variation in sound and tempo despite the very short length, so I would be curious to hear a longer release coming FROM this band, see if they can keep this up. :)

It's quite difficult to say more based on such a short demo, and not long enough to give it a rating. The band should have a mp3.com page ready at some point, somehow I could not locate it (there's another band called Memoir there, seemingly unrelated.) CHECK the band's web page at www.memoirsucks.com for more information. Yes, that is the real URL. ;)
