Vindicator is a US Thrash Metal band that spent their youth listening exclusively to the Bay Area Thrash. Everything that they made here reminded me of a second level 80's thrash band, from the song structure, musicianship to the production. There is nothing wrong with that but if they are going to follow that route then they had better produce something incredible and clearly this is not. If I had to use one word to describe this it would be "generic", everything here is exactly what you expect it to be and everything sounds the way you expect competent thrash to sound. The Antique Witcheries is an ok record to have, there is nothing here that will offend thrash fans but there is nothing that will excite them much either. If you can bypass those limitations then go ahead and buy this. |
