A short and sweet one from Malevolent Creation, this new slab of Floridian Death Metal is just shy of 36 minutes. Except for the quiet and very short intro, this album is a non-stop aural assault up to the last second. The "Florida Death Metal" sound is unmistakable, in fact we're almost talking poster child here. Mid to fast-paced, heavy, tight yet with a bit of a fuzzy feeling, Invidious Dominion gets the blood pumping and doesn't let go. Thunderous drums and machine gun-like riffs team up with decipherable growls to assault the ears and leave no prisoners. It's very decent overall, the problem here is that nothing really stands out; except for the occasional attention-catching riffs, we have 35 minutes that sound pretty much the same, so it can get boring after a while. A little more variety wouldn't have hurt, but you're still in for an ass-kicking.
