This is the second effort from the Swedish solo project of Graav, Lekamen Illusionen Kallet or LIK. The two years that followed the release of Kapitel I were certainly beneficial to the artist. I personally know for a fact, two years of serious practice, learning and even just jamming does make a difference in your playing.

Not only does LIK pursued in the same path as on Kapitel I, but the weaknesses are behind him now, and that's not all. If on the debut album the songs were simple and repetitive, here the situation is quite different. In order to make the compositions stronger, a proper sound production blesses his music. If that was not enough, they are more elaborate and bear a certain adventurous twist, while remaining melodic and in good pagan metal nature, so to speak. On this disc, Graav's songwriting skills and musicianship have greatly improved. Helping the song structures is the fact that the bass lines are stronger and the drums are punchier than before, all of which revealing a better and powerful sound. Lengthier tracks allow LIK to develop and expand his musical horizon. Kapitel II is not of the avant-garde style by any means, although nice variations were brought in, such as ambient keyboards, clean echoing arpeggios with effects, some chaotic parts and a bit of dissonance. The pace sticks mostly to the moderate tempo and a few faster times also show up once in a while.

Really, Kapitel II is a more mature, diversified and pleasant opus from LIK. There is just good music to be heard with my favorite tunes being: "Syner" and "Viterskog".
