This is the first real demo by the Ottawa area thrashers, following the release of some mp3 demo songs shortly after they were formed back in 2004. This time we are graced with four songs instead of three (two of which are back to kick our collective asses once again), but we still only get a little under 12 minutes. That goes by way too quickly. :) Thankfully things haven't changed much in the band's sound - you still get old-school thrash heavily influenced by Slayer (the first time I heard the beginning of "More Hate", I thought this was a Slayer cover), and I can't help but hear a little bit of Overkill in there, especially in the vocal style. The vocalist doesn't sound like Blitz but the style is comparable to some extent. Cool stuff. Overall this sounds tighter than the first demo did, and is still thankfully free of any "modern" influences (by modern I mean the half-assed "thrash" that some bands have been dumping on us for the past few years.) Anyone in need of some basic, bullshit-and-gimmick-free mid-80s style thrash should check this out. I just hope that it is in the very short term plans of the band to stop teasing and release a full-length album already!

You can check out some songs as well as a video on their Myspace page ( and the first demo is still available on Soundclick at Listen or die!
