The title of this album is actually more than a little ironic for this band and their music when you really sit down and think about it. You have the revolving door policy of Jeff Waters band mates and then you have the music which runs the table from excellent (Alice, Neverland, Carnival) to absolute crap (Waking, All For You, Criteria).

So which camp does the new album fall into? I would have to say that this album falls almost directly in the middle of both. It is not absolute crap but it sure as hell isn't the return to form that was promised and praised as being in other reviews I have read. There are a couple of songs that may remind you of past thrash classics but there is also quite a bit of filler and a couple of songs that are just a complete waste of time. There are certainly improvements from the last album, All For You, but in all reality that sure as hell isn't saying much considering how awful that album was. Hell, it would have actually been hard NOT to improve even by a complete accident. I will admit that this album does get better the more you listen to it but even after listening to this album about a dozen times I can still only fine two really stand out tracks (Invite It and Too Far Gone). Some of the other tracks start to sound better but they are still rather bland when compared to material from Alice or Neverland.

Overall I think this album could have been much better and if you were looking for something more in the vein of the first two albums your wait as well as mine continues. Better luck next time.
