Mostly slow, crushing old-schoolish death metal is the name of the game on Reckless Manslaughter's fourth album, Sinking into Filth. This is one of those heavy albums that pin you to the ground from the get-go and don't let you back up until the end. There's a kind of a creepy doom vibe on the slower songs, nothing to give you nightmares but it does add to the heaviness. Those looking for speed will find some of that, but not much as this album seems to be about slowly grinding the listener into the ground.
