This was the debut for Slave Agent, who put out their follow-up earlier this year. I actually think I like this one a bit better, as it has a cleaner, hookier sound, and reminds me more of Anacrusis than Voïvod. There's a lot more Trad Metal in the riffing on this one, more clean-limbed, melodic work, and the vocals are much more classic Thrash in approach. The songs are packed with a lot of riffs, and they build a manic, chaotic energy as they careen along. If you like old-fashioned Thrash then this is not a band to skip, especially since you can get both of their albums on Bandcamp for whatever you feel like paying. This is a band too talented to ignore. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
