On first spin this sounded like rather generic Speed Metal in the general vein of Lonewolf or Running Wild (very early Running Wild), and you know, even after more listens it still sound like that. In general the riffs are much better than the songs here, as while the tunes overall just kind of bang along without doing much, every time you are about to get bored they will whip out some cool riff or melody and you will sit up. The vocals are bad, let's be honest. Nuno Machado barks and honks along, only sometimes on key. When the band sticks to faster cuts he sounds better, but the songs get blander. This isn't offensive, but it's not very exciting either. Additional Information 2024 reissue on Hellprod Records reviewed. |
