Spanish crossover thrashers Pnuk are back, and their lack of restraint is as notable as ever with a fucking double CD that’s almost two hours long. This is very similar to their previous album in that it seamlessly mixes crossover punk and thrash in a way reminiscent of D.R.I., Crumbsuckers, and even Slayer, all without any seriousness or intent outside of being energetic and entertaining while rocking the fuck out with chicks and booze and stuff. I’d be lying if I didn’t say nearly two hours of this stuff is likely far too much for the average listener, but seeing that I can just put on any song I feel like and be transported back to the glory days of the '80s thrash scene, I can’t hold that against them, especially since I typically end up spinning the entire thing and watch time flying by at turbo speed. Crossover thrash done right! |
