Review

Another Vic Records reissue of a Sacrosanct album, Tragic Intense thrashes less (if at all) than Truth Is - What Is. This album clocks in at just under an hour and, just like Truth Is..., if feels that long, though not necessarily in a bad way. The songs here are very melodic, largely slow to mid-paced and I find it's overall kind of relaxing, a good fit for when you're tired and just want to shut your brain down, yet still have something metal enough coming out of the speakers. The vocals are clean and sometimes borderline spoken, not something I like much most of the time, but I wouldn't see something more "sung" working for some of the songs. Tragic Intense is pretty tame as far as metal goes, tame enough that people into rock music and nothing much harder probably wouldn't whine too much if they were to hear it. It's quite diverse and still has that progressive-but-not-overdone thing going for it.
