Debut EP from this band made up of several pseudonymous guys from either Sweden or Poland, and this pretty much sounds like it, having some of the melodic sense of Swedish black metal while maintaining that Polish barbarity that is seemingly ineradicable. This has a compressed, waspish guitar sound wringing out some nicely atonal riffage, the drums could sound better, and the vocals have a good tortured sound to them. The recording is underground enough to give this some mood, and there are a few atmospheric bits and flourishes to give this a bit more identity. Solid if not groundbreaking. |
