This is one of two raw recordings by a fan in November 1985 at the Starwood Club in Toronto, the other being Sacrifice playing the day before. Here Slaughter were opening for Corrosion of Conformity and D.R.I. This 32-minute set is pretty cool, lots of energy as other live recordings of the band have accustomed us to. It’s about as raw as it gets, not just in terms of recording but also in the delivery, which I always found is where Slaughter’s material really shines. You’ll definitely find more quality live recordings out there, but this here really gives out the vibe of being somewhere in the crowd at that club. It’s not essential, but fans of the band will want to check this out. |
