First time coming across this Australian band, Moon propose a very haunting brand of atmospheric black metal. It’s been done before, but that doesn’t matter as much as the execution, and Moon certainly got that right. Dark, heavy, haunting, eerie, entrancing, kind of experimental—you name it, and Pandimensional Gnosis has it. It’s been a while since I heard black metal like this that just grabs you and pulls you down into the depths of hell. Whether it’s the distant vocals or the (mostly) slow music, it’s hard not to be pulled in by this album. This is haunting as fuck and is bound to freak out the uninitiated, which is always cool in my book. This is one album that you just want to play over and over. |
