Album number six from India's Kryptos is called Force of Danger and displays a continuation of the band's traditional metal riffs played with occasional thrash intensity. If you've liked any of their recent albums, Force of Danger is definitely going to work for you the same way. On songs like "Hot Wire" and "Raging Steel," Kryptos let loose with machine gun guitars and plenty of speed while their Maiden influences are on display on more melodic tracks such as "Dawnbreakers" and "Omega Point." I'm still not hearing lead work on the level of The Coils of Apollyon, where they were exemplary, but they certainly aren't bad. Force of Danger is another solid album from a band that has found a groove, and a good groove at that, so pick it up if you need a shot of aggressive, thrashy heavy metal. |
