Ahhhhhhh, I always get that warm feeling after listening to a killer thrash album. It is hands down my favorite genre and has been for a very long time. Antologi hail from, of all places, Singapore. I really shouldn't be that surprised as metal music isn't contained to one area of the planet, but it is a bit rare to see underground metal coming out of Asia.

The band play a very aggressive version of Thrash Metal with vocals that are heard more in the Death Metal genre. Far and away the standout of this album is the absolutely shredding guitar work. It's a never-ending flow of great riffs that are absolutely geared towards getting mosh pits bigger and bigger. The leads are a shred fest that would make Alex Skolnick smile. The drumming is absolutely on point. Adding just the right flourish to the songs with well-placed fills and then coming back with the perfect groove. Check out the song "Into the Darkest Realm" for exactly what I am talking about. The production is also stellar on this and adds the perfect balance between the instruments. I have to admit the days of shitty production may be relegated to the past as it seems 9 out of every 10 bands I listen to have great production nowadays and, to be honest, I love that. This album just absolutely screams to be played live. If Antologi can pull this off in a live setting, they will absolutely destroy and I for one hope I can witness it. Just tell me a track like "Age of Pandemic" will not fire a crowd up.

Overall, this album is a straight up banger. If you are looking for some killer Thrash Metal with more aggressive vocals and sounds like a cross between Slayer and Testament but with a bit more aggression, you will find plenty to enjoy here. Highly Recommended.
