This Montreal band is quite the revelation if your thing is old-school, straightforward, no-frills '80s-style heavy metal. The guitars are crunchy, meaty, memorable from the first listen and really take you back in time. The vocals, powerful, clear but a little raucous at times, are front and centre and are just as infectious as the music, lots of memorable singalong moments to be found here. This is the kind of stuff that really gets crowds going in a live setting. Not all songs are created equal here, with some highlights like "Marauders" and "Burning Desire" being some of my favourites, but there's no filler material to be found. This is not original and doesn't pretend to be. It's straight-out honest heavy metal that's meant to rock your socks off.
