This split comes to us courtesy of Mentally Defiled and Evil Army, who are a couple of fairly well known and popular underground Crossover Thrash acts. Unsurprisingly, both bands play it fast and loose, so they complement each other pretty well despite their related but officially separate approaches to Thrash.

Greece's Mentally Defiled start things off with a barrage of skull-crushing riffs akin to what you would hear on Deicide's Legion or Miami Death/Thrash act Solstice. The vocals of George "IronBeast" are appropriately ravenous and bestial, but this band is all about the riffs, and they use them to rip into your eardrums without remorse.

Memphis, Tennessee's Evil Army, on the other hand, are much deeper into Crossover territory, with fast and furious tracks that don't even last more than a minute. In other words, they're exactly what you expect to hear from a Crossover band, no more, no less, and as a fan of the style, I'd say this is worth going berserk in a mosh pit in a live setting. Shame the Argentinian version I got doesn't have their cover of Slayer's "Aggressive Perfector", but what can you do?

Overall, there's not much more to say about this short slab of thrashing goodness outside of that. Fun while it's on, and sometimes that's all you need.
