Where did these guys come from? This is a sweet, hellish blackened thrash EP that's just way, waaayyy too short as it quickly leaves you begging for more. The songs are deeply rooted in the savage tradition of '80s German thrash, namely Kreator and Sodom. This is very much in the vein of what those bands released in the mid-80s: Fast, raw, chaotic, razor-sharp thrash that slays everyone and destroys everything in its path. Well, the aforementioned German bands were fast back in those days, but Mayhemic have put the pedal to the metal and crashed through the floor with this one. No speed limits. The vocals remind me a lot of very early Kreator, which is a perfect fit for this kind of minimalist thrash. Mayhemic may not be inventing anything here but, damn, isn't that a fun trip to simpler times. Crank it the fuck up to 11.
