I had my doubts about that band name but that all went away as soon as I put on this EP. This is very fast-paced black metal that's reminiscent of those big-name, speedy Scandinavian black metal bands that started popping up in the '90s. You know the recipe: speed, heaviness with an evil, haunting and tortured atmosphere, brutality and vocals from beyond the grave. Mix it all with the pedal to the metal and you get a one-way ticket for a ride to hell. Not enough? How about a little bit of chaotic insanity that's a little reminiscent of Anaal Nathrakh (though not quite that chaotic)? If you're in the mood for high-speed, pounding, blasting, haunting black metal, Glorification Sermons might just hit the spot. A full-length album next, please! |
