These guys play fast, punchy melodic thrash metal with clean vocals that reminds me a lot of the cleaner thrash out of Germany back in the '80s with a pinch of Bay Area thrash here and there. Several songs are pretty catchy and that has a lot to do with the vocal melodies that lead everything else through the album. This is definitely not the evil all-guns-blazing brand of thrash, so if you're looking for that, you'll have to look elsewhere. This is accessible music (from a metalhead's perspective, of course) for when you want some fun, tap the foot and break out the air guitar. It's been done before and will get done again, but Poltergeist are good at it. |
