This is an album of deep-voiced, pummeling Death Metal by a band who seem way more influenced by Entombed and Bolt Thrower than the clickety-clickety sounds more common in the US. There isn't anything blazingly original about the songwriting, but this is a band who understand that if you are not breaking the mold, then you should at least play heavy as fuck and crush the shit out of it. These guys get a snarling, guttural guitar sound and crank the reverb on the drums, so the whole thing becomes a thunderous cauldron of death lava. If you are a Death Metal fan, then this will do it. |
