It's good that Stortregn seem to be getting their backlist repressed, as they have been knocking around for well over a decade, putting out quality music, and yet remained chronically unknown. If you need a point of reference for this band, I would say Dissection is a pretty good place to start, as they have a similar melodic style of riffing, but at the same time they are more aggressive and tend to be a bit faster overall. They have a sharp, clean recording job and a nice, heavy guitar sound. If you like melodic Black Metal that still maintains some aggression, this is a band to check out. |
