This is an interesting debut of a band who play expansive, atmospheric Black Metal with some elements of Post-Metal worked in. The guitar sound is big and textured, with a lot of bite, the arrangements are long, with a lot of room for development and melodic counterpoint, and the rather undistinguished vocals sound like they were recorded in a separate room somewhere down the hall. The overall effect has a lot of punch, even if the songwriting sometimes lacks focus. Promising.
