Game On is the second full-length from Russia's Pokerface and it is a viciously entertaining slice of Thrash Metal. The riffs may not be inventive but they are played with plenty of attitude and the energy of the leads is almost palpable. The female singer alternates between Death growls and clearer shrieks and when she lets loose her first scream on "The Bone Reaper", other singers may wet themselves a little. Game On may be formulaic but it is played with obvious passion, so if you aren't at least tapping your foot, you aren't listening.
